A touch weekend for Vale's adult teams was counter-balanced by two excellent wins for the Junior sides last night.

On Sunday the 1sts faced Hemel Hempstead away who went with their strongest side available including 7 Saturday first teamers and two Aussie grade cricketers! Bowling first, Vale's young team performed admirably, particularly Jacob Cowan and Nathan Segal, both u17 players making their first team debuts with Segal taking 3 wickets including one of the grade players in a fantastic debut for the club. In reply, we never got close, despite Noah Zackheim showing great promise on his first team league debut, but it was a great learning experience for the youngsters involved.

Over in Eastcote, our Dev team took on a strong Wealdstone team and did well to keep the oppo to 240 off their 40 overs with Jake Musikant taking 3 wickets. In reply, Vale fell short but the "crowd" were treated to a vintage 50 not out from Jon Feigenbaum who promptly retired to give others a bat/protect his average (you choose...)

Better news last night as both our U11s and U15s had great wins in their Middx league games. Star performers were the U11s who ran out winners by 61 runs with Samuel Saffer the star of the batting show with 21n/o and Micah Corin bowling a double-wicket maiden. Meanwhile at Old Elizabethans, traditionally our bogey opposition, the U15s had an excellent 8 run win with Daniel Baker scoring 34 n/o and Rafi Zackheim 31 n/o in our 137-1,

We go again this week.
