For the first time in what seems like ages, the weather took note of the start of the cricket season and we had a great first week of the LMVCC 2025 season - incidentally our 70th season...

Both the U11s and the U13A teams got their league campaigns off to a strong start with thumping wins. The U11s beat Winchmore Hill by 17 runs (99-5 plays 82-4) with lots of strong performances from the boys.

That was followed by the U13s thrashing Old Elizabethans. LMV scored a massive 156-1 off 20 overs including a brilliant 51 not out from Isaac Jacobs, and significant contributions from Noah Klippin (26*), Kiran Haffner (26*) and Gaby Endlin (19). In return, OEs were restricted to 54-7.

Yesterday saw the adult teams dust off the cobwebs with an intra-club game at The Walker Ground.
